Chronology of important events

2002 Resolution of the Government №1346 dated December 23, 2002 «About creation of the “Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas" and transfer of state share holdings of NIPI “Caspimunaygas” JSC and “KazNIPImunaygas” JSC to the authorized capital of the Company. 

2003 Company registration. Reception of assets of NIPI “Caspimunaygas” JSC (Atyrau) and “KazNIPImunaygas” JSC (Aktau). Reception of assets “CTI” LLP (Atyrau) Creation of a direction on design of main pipelines and the beginning of work under the project of Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline. Ecological monitoring regional system project development and forecasting of environmental condition of Kazakh Sector of the Caspian Sea. Start-up of Uzen oil field projects. 

2004 Start-up of Almaty office. Merge of NIPI “Caspimunaygas” JSC and “CTI” LLP with a transferring part of assets of “CTI” LLP in Zhanaozen to “KazNIPImunaygas” JSC. Formation of "Petrodata Kazakhstan" JSC, the joint venture between “Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas" JSC and "Halliburton Energy Services" company, with the purpose of realization of the project on creation of "National database of oil-and-gas projects of Republic of Kazakhstan". Start of new large projects:

• expansion of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium;
• development of the Kazakh Sector of the Caspian Sea;
• Alibekmola field infrastructure development and construction;
• Kashagan field infrastructure development and construction;
• management of sulphur on Tengiz field.

Signing of partnership agreements under joint projects with the following companies: Parsons, KBR, Petrofac, CPPE. The membership in Kazakhstan Engineering Companies Union. 

2005 Creation of NII “Caspimunaygas” LLP on the basis of NIPI "Caspimunaygas" JSC. Obtaining of Certificate of Moody International company on conformity to the international standard ISO 9001:2000 by “Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas" JSC. Start of new large projects:

• Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline;
• Karachaganak field infrastructure development facilities.

2006 Creation of “Naukograd” LLP Start of new large projects:

• “Naukograd” technopolis;
• North Caspian Oil Transportation System;
• Tengiz field infrastructure development facilities.

2007 Introduction of Integrated Management System in KING group of companies. Start of new large projects:

• Well drilling at Muzbel field;
• North-South transportation corridor.

The 5th anniversary of “Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas". 

2008 Start of new projects:

• Preliminary tie-in design to “KazTransOil” (KTO) pipeline for “Kalamkas More” project;
• Technical substantation of construction of objects of further stages of Kashagan field development;
• "Beineu - Shymkent" main gas pipeline construction design estimates development.
